Readings

 

The attached readings are the most commonly selected for funerals at St. Paul of the Cross. 

You will choose three readings:

1)one Old Testament

2)one New Testament 

3)one Gospel reading

The first reading (Old Testament) and second reading (New Testament) may be read by a selected family member or friend. The Gospel is always proclaimed by the celebrant (priest or deacon). The responsorial psalm in between the first and and second readings is a sung response lead by the cantor.
